If your organization is working on innovative water projects and could use expert support to get them off the ground, WaterNow Alliance’s Project Accelerator program just extended its application deadline – and it’s worth a look.
Applications are now due Friday, May 29, 2026.
What Is Project Accelerator?
Project Accelerator is a free technical assistance program run by WaterNow Alliance that provides hands-on capacity and expertise to cities, water agencies, and other public water service providers. The goal is to help communities develop or expand innovative drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
The program focuses on localized water infrastructure projects and programs such as water efficiency, reuse, green stormwater infrastructure, source water protection, lead service line replacement, and other consumer-focused initiatives. It also helps communities and utilities build trust and develop the collaborations needed to create effective, lasting solutions.
What Selected Projects Receive
- Tailored project support – including project management, policy guidance, research and analysis, program design, and community and stakeholder outreach
- Up to 250 hours of assistance over an approximately 6-12 month period
- Access to a broad network of water sector experts in program development and innovative financing
- Hands-on leadership and professional development opportunities for utility staff
Apply Before May 29
This is a strong fit for H2O network partners working on water infrastructure challenges in the Upper Ohio River Basin. The deadline extension gives you a little more time – but not much.
