Save the Date: Mid Mon Stormwater Workshop, October 20 in Uniontown

Save the date. On Tuesday, October 20, the Mid Mon Stormwater Workshop brings together the people who shape what happens to the rain that falls on our communities. It is a free day of learning, connecting, and taking action for cleaner water, and the H2O Water Network is proud to co-host.

Every storm is a decision point. Rain that soaks into healthy ground recharges our streams; rain that races off pavement picks up whatever it touches and carries it straight to the nearest creek. Managing that runoff well is one of the most practical things a community can do for its water, and it is exactly what this workshop is built around: Learn. Connect. Take Action.

What the day is about

The Mid Mon Stormwater Workshop is a stormwater and watershed educational event designed to be useful, not theoretical. The goal is simple: help the people who manage our landscapes understand how stormwater works, connect with others facing the same challenges across the Mon Valley, and leave with concrete steps they can take back to their own communities. As the flyer puts it, protect our water, preserve our future. We all live downstream.

The workshop is hosted by Keep Fayette County Green and the H2O Headwaters to the Ohio Water Network, and made possible by the generous support of the NiSource Foundation, Columbia Gas, and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.
