Your Voice Shaped Our 2026 Roadmap

Assessment Results & What’s Next

You took time to share your experiences. Your challenges. Your questions about water in your community.

We’ve been listening.

The H2O Headwaters to the Ohio Water Network’s Watershed Assessment gave us something invaluable: a clearer picture of what communities across the region are actually facing. Not assumptions. Not guesses. Real input from people doing this work on the ground.

Now we’re turning that input into action.

What We Learned

The Assessment revealed patterns we suspected and some we didn’t. Communities across the watershed are dealing with overlapping challenges—infrastructure concerns, affordability pressures, climate uncertainties, and questions about where to find resources and support.

But here’s what stood out most: the desire for connection. People want to share not just problems but ideas. They want to know what’s working elsewhere. They want relationships with others who understand what they’re dealing with.

That’s exactly what we’re building in 2026.

What’s Coming

Based on your input, we’ve mapped out programming designed to address the issues you identified. Here’s the roadmap:

February 2026: Webinar Series Launches

Having a hard time getting funding because your organization doesn’t have a 501(C)3 designation? Join H2O Headwaters to the Ohio Water Network and Community Foundation for the Alleghenies/Nonprofit Partners to get an understanding of sponsorship and how it can open financial doors for your organization.

. We plan to cover:

    – What is fiscal sponsorship?

   – Types of technical/financial assistance

   – How it can help your current organization or group

   – How to apply/What to expect

   – Questions/Answer session

We’re kicking off the year with focused webinars tackling specific topics that emerged from the Assessment. Practical sessions. Real information. Opportunities to ask questions and connect with others facing similar situations.

.

February & March 2026: Ripples to Currents Summit

This three-session series is designed for exactly what you asked for: connection.

The Ripples to Currents Summit isn’t a lecture series. It’s a space to share challenges, exchange ideas, and build relationships with others working on water issues across the watershed. Your problems aren’t unique—and neither are your solutions. Let’s put them in the same room.

May 29 2026: Spring Confluence at Geneva College

Our signature gathering returns. Geneva College will host the Spring 2026 Confluence, bringing together community members, advocates, and organizations for a day of deeper engagement, learning, and collaborative planning.

Mark your calendar. More details to follow.

We Want to Hear From You

Here’s where you come in again.

We’re compiling stories of what communities and organizations accomplished in 2025. What did your group do? What worked? What did you learn? What are you proud of?

Your wins—big and small—matter. They inspire others. They show what’s possible. And they help us understand where momentum is building across the watershed.

This Is Just the Beginning

The Watershed Assessment wasn’t a one-time exercise. It was the start of an ongoing conversation about what our communities need and how we can work together to address it.

The webinars, the Summit, the Confluence—these are responses to what you told us. And we’ll keep responding as the conversation continues.

Thank you for your input. Thank you for your work. And thank you for being part of this network.

We hope you’ll join us in 2026 as we work to improve our water—and support your efforts in the process.
