The Water Network’s fiscal sponsor, Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, has a new funding program available, the Ohio River Valley Participatory Fund.
The fund is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit groups serving communities in eastern Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia that have been adversely impacted by the fossil fuel industry. This is a new resource for northern Appalachia. There are two types of grants with various funding tiers and requirements. The General Operating Support grant application is due July 31st, 2024. The Rapid Response grant is open on a rolling basis until funds are depleted. Check out the RFPs to learn more.
