Learn, Connect, Act: Shared Waters with French Creek Conservancy

French Creek meets Buffalo Creek for an afternoon of learning, connection, and practical action. On Wednesday, December 10 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania will host “Shared Waters,” a hybrid program you can join in person at Buffalo Creek Nature Park (154 Monroe Road, Sarver, PA 16055) or online via Zoom. Expect clear takeaways, local context, and space to ask questions that move real work forward. Light snacks and drinks are on the house.

Why show up? French Creek is one of the most biologically important waterways in the country, home to 27 native freshwater mussel species and 80+ fish species, with deep cultural history and outstanding recreation. Learning from that success helps us protect Buffalo Creek and the communities around it. Special guest: French Creek Conservancy.

How to join: the event is free, but you’ll need a registered Zoom account to attend online. Prefer to come in person? Great. Either way, register at aswp.org or call 724-295-3589 for details. Bring a neighbor, a colleague, or your watershed questions—and leave with ideas you can use.
