Waterkeepers Chesapeake Coalition Coordinator

Waterkeepers Chesapeake, based in Washington, DC is hiring a Coalition Coordinator.  The candidate should reside somewhere in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and ideally have experience with the waterkeeper movement.
The location of the position is flexible within 45 miles of the Washington, DC metro area. We are a hybrid workplace, with most staff working remotely. Our office is located in Silver Spring, MD. Salary range is $65,000 – $80,000 depending on experience. A 32 hours per week schedule is an option. Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring Director

Dickinson College welcomes applications for the Director for the Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM). ALLARM’s next director will lead a staff of professionals and student interns dedicated to community-based aquatic science.  The Director is responsible for leadership of all ALLARM activities including supervising and mentoring staff and students, grant writing and implementation, fundraising, and maintaining ALLARM’s leadership role in community-based aquatic science. ALLARM is housed within and supported by nationally-recognized sustainability leader, Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. This unique position combines higher education administration and leadership, non-profit management, aquatic science and community-based learning into one dynamic role.  Strong candidates will have experience in student-engagement, grant-writing and fundraising, and nonprofit management.
ALLARM engages communities to use science as a tool to investigate the health of their streams and to use the data they generate for aquatic protection and restoration efforts. ALLARM has provided capacity building assistance to Pennsylvania communities to monitor, protect and restore local waterways since 1986.
