Filtered Not Bottled Grant Program
Application deadline: October 31, 2024, 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
Safe drinking water is a human right and an urgent environmental justice issue, disproportionately impacting low income communities and communities of color. The Grant Program aims to support frontline organizations and those working with frontline communities affected by toxic lead service lines. PPC’s goal is to champion real solutions for safe drinking water, namely filters certified to remove lead, not single-use plastic bottles that pose additional health risks and contribute to plastic pollution. There is no safe level of lead, and a filter first approach is critical to protect children from the often irreversible impacts of lead exposure in the many years before the last toxic lead service line is replaced.
