Climate Awakening: Crafting a Sustainable Future – Jan. 12 at Contemporary Craft

Join POWR and your watershed colleagues for an evening of learning, thoughtful engagement, exploration, and conversation at Contemporary Craft, located at 5645 Butler St. in Pittsburgh.
Presenting contemporary art in craft materials by international, national, and regional artists since 1971, Contemporary Craft offers innovative exhibitions focused on multicultural diversity and contemporary art. Their current exhibition, Climate Awakeningoffers an innovative and creative perspective for engaging with the issue of climate change by critically examining its impact through the lens of art.
POWR invites you to a behind-the-scenes tour followed by a hands-on art activity and a networking social. This event will build upon the momentum generated at the Statewide Watershed Conference, where watershed organization leaders and volunteers interacted with local artists who are bringing attention to critical water issues though visual and experiential art.
The cost to participate is $10 which includes materials and refreshments.
Registration is required and is limited to 30 people.
