The Jacobs Creek Watershed Association (JCWA) is inviting the community to its 9th Annual Headwaters Party on Friday, August 29, 2026, at the historic West Overton Village. The evening brings neighbors together for live music, a farm-to-table dinner, basket raffles, and family fun, all in support of clean water and a healthier watershed.
As a partner in the H2O Water Network, JCWA works year-round to conserve natural resources, restore the Jacobs Creek watershed, and connect people to the outdoors through education and recreation. The Headwaters Party is the organization’s signature fundraiser, and the dollars raised keep those programs running.
What your support makes possible
Funds raised at the Headwaters Party help JCWA continue providing free and affordable environmental education programs, recreation opportunities, community clean-up events, and watershed restoration projects, along with the day-to-day work of running a small nonprofit. Every dollar stays close to home and goes right back into the creek and the community around it.
Ways to get involved
There are several ways to make a meaningful impact, whether or not you can attend on the 29th:
- Donate a basket raffle item. Gift baskets, gift certificates, merchandise, or monetary contributions are all welcome for JCWA’s popular basket raffle.
- Become an event sponsor. Sponsorships provide valuable recognition while directly supporting conservation and community programs. Reply to JCWA with the sponsorship request form to choose a level.
- Attend and spread the word. Even sharing the event with family, friends, and coworkers helps JCWA reach its goal.
Important deadline: basket raffle donations should be received by August 21, 2026.
Recognition for donors and sponsors
As a thank you, all basket raffle donors are recognized in the JCWA Annual Report, on social media, and through event-day signage and announcements. Sponsors receive additional recognition and benefits based on their sponsorship level.
