Something Big Is Coming to Geneva College on May 29

Mark your calendar. On May 29, 2026, H2O Water Network is bringing together water advocates, watershed groups, municipal water authorities, conservation districts, and community partners from across the Upper Ohio River Basin for one day at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA.

It is called Spring Confluence 2026 – and it might be the most important water conversation happening in western Pennsylvania this year.

What Is Spring Confluence?

Confluence is the annual gathering of H2O Water Network’s 60+ partner organizations. It is where the people doing the work – the watershed coordinators, the municipal water operators, the conservation district staff, the researchers, the advocates – come together in one room to share what they know and figure out what comes next.

This year’s event is shaping up to be one for the books.

A Keynote That Will Stop You in Your Tracks

We are bringing in Dr. Sherri Mason – one of the country’s leading researchers on microplastics in drinking water – to deliver the keynote address. Her work has fundamentally changed how scientists and policymakers think about plastic pollution in our water systems. And she is coming to Beaver Falls to talk directly to the communities and watersheds that are most affected.

More on Dr. Mason in the coming weeks. Trust us – you will want to hear what she has to say.

Real Conversations, Real Stakeholders

One of the highlights of this year’s Confluence is a Water Authority Panel bringing together representatives from PMAA and the Beaver Falls Municipal Authority and Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County, 3 communities with very different water stories – in the same room at the same time. That kind of conversation does not happen by accident. It happens when a regional network decides it is time to connect the dots.

En‑ROADS is a world-renowned climate simulator that reveals how today’s policy and technology choices can shape our planet’s future—from global temperature and extreme weather to changes in energy consumption, global health, and GDP.

Something New This Year

H2O Water Network has been building something new for our partners – a searchable Resource Library designed to connect watershed groups, municipalities, and advocates with funding opportunities, technical resources, and policy tools across the region. We will be unveiling it at Confluence for the first time.
