As we face the growing challenges of climate change, community involvement has never been more crucial. On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is hosting a virtual Climate Action Plan Workshop to engage the public in discussions about climate impacts and ongoing efforts to address the climate crisis in Pennsylvania. This interactive, thought-provoking session will be an opportunity for community members to voice their concerns, offer feedback, and work together to shape the future of climate action planning in the state.
The workshop, which will run from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, will focus on Pennsylvania’s climate impacts, such as rising temperatures, changing weather patterns, and the effects on local ecosystems. The event will also highlight the 2024 Pennsylvania Climate Impacts Assessment and the 2024 Pennsylvania Climate Action Plan, both of which are essential resources in understanding the state’s current climate trajectory and planned responses. This is a chance for all Pennsylvanians to come together and ensure that the state’s approach to climate action reflects the concerns and needs of every community.
The event will feature a community climate conversation, where participants will have the chance to ask questions, share ideas, and offer input into the climate action plans being developed by the DEP. H2O Water Network encourages our partners and the broader community to take part in this important session. By working together, we can ensure that climate policies are not only effective but also equitable, addressing the needs of marginalized communities, as well as ensuring a sustainable future for the generations to come.
Your participation is essential—we truly appreciate your time and feedback. Whether you have specific questions or just want to learn more, your voice is an important part of this conversation.
