Two Board Seats Open: Help Protect Washington County’s Waterways

Washington County Watershed Alliance Needs You on Their Board

The Washington County Watershed Alliance (WCWA) is looking for two new at-large board members to join their team starting in March 2026.

If you care about protecting local streams and waterways—and you’ve got some time to give—this might be your chance to get involved at a leadership level.

What They’re Looking For

WCWA is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) dedicated to preserving, restoring, and enhancing Washington County’s waterways. They’re specifically hoping to find candidates with backgrounds in:

  • Finance
  • Law
  • Social media
  • Field monitoring
  • Nonprofit management

But here’s the thing: if none of those describe you but you still care about healthy water and want to contribute, they want to hear from you anyway.

The Commitment

Board members attend monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month from 7–9 PM. Meetings are held in person at 50 Old Hickory Ridge Road in Washington, PA, with a virtual option available.

Candidates must be residents of Washington County, PA.
