Pittsburgh, PA – The Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Network is excited to announce that effective November 1, we will be rebranding as the H2O Headwaters to the Ohio Water Network. This name change reflects our commitment to expanding our reach and enhancing our focus on water stewardship across the Upper Ohio River Basin, encompassing the critical headwaters that feed our vital waterways.
\The decision to rebrand is rooted in our mission to promote sustainable water management practices and foster collaboration among stakeholders throughout the region. The new name, H2O Headwaters to the Ohio Water Network, encapsulates our dedication to the preservation and protection of our water resources irrespective of geopolitical boundaries, ensuring that we advocate for clean and healthy waterways for all communities.
“We believe that this name change better represents the breadth of our work and the importance of the headwaters in the overall health of the Ohio River Basin,” said John Stephen, Strategic Coordinator of H2O. “As we move forward, we are committed to strengthening our partnerships and engaging more effectively with community members, organizations, and stakeholders across the region.”
